Job Summary:
Interfaces with business clients and technology partners to analyze changes to TSYS processes and systems based upon defined scope of project requests. Identifies short and long term product strategy goals, and translates them into business and/or system requirements, and functional design specifications (including process or system data flows and use cases), from which programmers can create technical specifications. Assists other project team members with their deliverables (i.e. technical design and test plan review), to ensure business and system requirements are built, tested and implemented, and functionality will meet client needs. Becomes a subject matter expert on the business functionality of multiple applications/platforms.
Essential Functions:
1.Under limited to moderate supervision, remains current on business process or system knowledge and is familiar with department practices, procedures and methodologies (i.e. analyze, design, build, test, deploy).
2.Meets with internal and external customers to gather and document high-level and detailed business and/or system requirements, functional design specifications. Acts as Subject Matter Expert and provides assistance in creating or reviewing other project deliverables such as technical specifications, test plans, test cases, training material, and information needed for product support.
3.Effective interviewing of key stake holders or SME's, process modeling, use case creation, logical data structuring, screen design, facilitating JAD/JAR sessions, and formal requirements/design reviews.
4.Demonstrates understanding of business process flows, data structures, business applications (functions and integration points) and organizational structure. Reads and understands project concepts, project plans,
existing system documentation, technical specifications, and test plans.
5.Identifies business impact of making changes to complex processes or products by determining impacts to process or system changes; performing detailed analysis such as detailed screen and functional design, business processes, data characteristic and flows.
6.Works on concurrent projects and strives to achieve subject matter efficiency on TSYS products, systems and business processes.
7.Within a team structure, responsible for handling mid-level to complex business or system requirements, and assisting more junior or senior team members with complex requirements.
8.Act as a mentor and resource by providing guidance and instruction in the execution of the Project Methodology with respect to the Business Architecture roles, responsibilities and deliverables.
9.Ensures continuity of business services by serving as a subject matter expert on business functionality and impact of system changes on multiple product platforms; supporting internal departments regarding business functionality for development initiatives.
10.Ensures all requirements are met by creating traceability matrix; ensuring business requirements are addressed within all relevant project deliverables throughout the SDLC.
11.Enhances analysis and industry knowledge by networking, reviewing professional publications; attending relevant events, and possible inclusion in Business Analyst related organizations (i.e. IIBA, PMI, etc.).
12.Enhances industry knowledge by reading and interpreting internal and external documentation, including Industry-specific documentation, compliance and legal documentation, and understanding 3rd party and vendor relationships.
Qualification Guidelines:
1.Four year college degree and at least 5 years professional experience or 8 or more years professional experience in a similar role with progressive responsibilities. Bankcard experience a plus.
2.Previous project experience and familiarity with project methodologies (SDLC’s) is needed. BA certification (i.e. IIBA or equivalent) is a plus.
3.Experience in effective meeting facilitation to various levels of the organization.
4.Must be proficient in PC business applications, including Microsoft Office, Project and Visio, as well as document versioning and defect management applications (i.e. ClearCase, ClearQuest, TestDirector, etc.).
